Me, Kimber, Fifty and Frozen rode through the hills a few weeks back. It was one of the first times that she had been up there since the Okanogan Complex fire had ripped cross the upper 2/3rds of our property. We had an outfit come up and log what was salvageable of the black wood, before it because too hard and, well useless.
There is a lot of black up there, and now tremendous amount of stumps. In the spring, we will all be very busy planting seed for new growth and what will be a continuous project of building fence. The good news is that the land is still there. I can still ride and kimber can watch new trees grow.
